FAST AND HEALTHY BREAKFAST: Chia seeds puding with coconut milk and fruit

Chia seeds are tiny black seeds from the plant Salvia Hispanica, which is related to the mint and grows antively in South America nad Mexico. They deliver massive amount of nutrients with very few calories. They provide proteins, vitamins and minerals such as calcium, potassium, copper, iron, zinc. Their enourmous amount of fibres improve the digestion. They abound with omega-3 fat acids, tree times more than food of animal origin, they have six times more calcium than milk and six times more proteins than beans.

These tiny seeds will give your body so much energy (in Mayan word chia means strenght), help the digestion, improve the health of your blood veins, strenthen your teeth and bones, deliver to your body high quality protein and help you loose weight.

Chia seeds have neutral taste so you can use them in various meals. Also great to replace eggs and to thicken your meals. Before use, soak them in water for at least 10 minutes. You can put the in smoothies, yogurts, desserts, pudings, bread and cakes, cookies. Today we bring you a suggestion for a healthy breakfast or a dessert: non cooking puding.

For chia seeds puding, you will need:

  • a cup of coconut, oat or any other plant based milk
  • 4 spoons of chia seeds
  • agave syrup
  • vanilla extract
  • coconut chips
  • fruit
  • melted chocolate

Put chia seeds in the cup with coconut milk, agave syrup and vanilla. Then put that cup in the refrigerator, best over the night. The next day, when it’s hardened, put coconut chips and fruit on it, and if you like, melted chocolate.
